Linda Elben Joins The Dixon House

Easton, Maryland -The Dixon House Independent and Assisted Living is pleased to announce that Linda Elben has been appointed as Administrator. In this leadership role, she is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of The Dixon House, including the overall care of the residents, and support of their families and caregivers.

“We are delighted to welcome Linda and confident that her expertise, enthusiasm and dedication to improving the lives of seniors will allow her to effectively direct day-to-day operations, and guide the staff to success,” says John Atwood, president of The Dixon House board of directors.

Ms. Elben brings more than 20 years of related experience, training and education to her new position. Prior to joining The Dixon House, she was program director for the Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care Center in Cambridge, Maryland; developed care plans for seniors as a social worker for Caroline County Health Department Geriatric Services Unit; and early in her career, was a social work discharge planner for The Memorial Hospital at Easton. Linda holds a Master of Arts in Social Work with a specialization in aging from the University of Maryland coupled with studies in Human Services Management. 

“I am honored to be chosen to lead one of the oldest non-profit organizations in Talbot County,” says Linda. “Working alongside our dedicated staff, we will continue the more than 100 year tradition of The Dixon House and provide residents a safe, comfortable, enriching home environment.”
