Rock Hall’s Pirates and Wenches Fantasy Weekend
Rock Hall’s Pirates and Wenches Fantasy Weekend – August 14-15th, 2010
Sponsored by the Greater Rock Hall Business Association
Avast! Me Hearties! Buccaneers and landlubbers of all ages – Graybeard, Rock Hall’s legendary laid-back pirate, orator and leader of men, invites you back to Rock Hall, Md. for the Pearl of the Chesapeake’s THIRD swashbuckling extravaganza!
Come by land or come by sea to the Town of Rock Hall on the Isle of Delmarva located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay for a two-day town wide theme party you will not forget! This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your boat – anchor out or raft up with your mates. There is plenty of anchorage, dockage and raft-up space available – as well as plenty of parking for those arriving by land. Rock Hall is less than a tank of gas from Philadelphia, Baltimore, D.C and Northern Virginia.
Arrive early on Friday evening and join the Sea Shanty Sing Along at Bay Wolf Restaurant. Dine in at one of the award-winning restaurants, settle in and enjoy the night’s live entertainment, or just relax under the stars. Among the many planned activities on Saturday is a decorated dinghy flotilla in the harbor and a race to the public beach. (The size of your dinghy doesn’t matter) This event will include a casting off party at the Harbor Shack Restaurant and a Caribbean-style beach party where participants will plunder the treasures of Graybeard on Rock Hall’s beach. Costumes are strongly encouraged!

He can bring audiences to reverent silence with jazz versions of ballads like "Bridge Over Troubled Water," then excite them minutes later with swinging song renditions reminiscent of Erroll Garner and Oscar Peterson. At the Mainstay, he'll be joined by Dave Einhorn on bass and Bertel Knox on drums. Call for reservations. At the Mainstay, Rock Hall. 8 p.m. $20. www.mainstayrockhall.org. 410-639-9133.
